Tia portal V11 Installation freezes

Did You happen to find the issue causing the installation to hang? I'm trying to install V11 to a VMWARE VM so that I can upload a CPU.... TIA Portal requires the upload be done on the same version as the last download..

Been stuck at 2mins remaining for about 30mins and pondering whether to wait or call it quits..

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there can give me some guidance on installing tia portal v11 as i am having issues with it freezing on the install of the system configuration and showing 2 minutes remaining.

I am running windows 7 enterprise and have tried installing it as admin and also through compatibility mode and setting the system settings for windows xp sp3.

I am now on my 3rd attempt and having the same issue every time regardless of what i do.

Split from Tia portal V11 SP2 Installation failure.

Okay, it seems to be related to s7epaesx.exe, as the installation completed after I stopped that process from the task manager..

I did also find this reference to VMWARE BIOS problems

TIA Portal V11 is quite an old version of TIA software. What operating system do you have on your system? A compatibility issue could cause these freezing issues.
