V18 HMI TP1200 Comfort

Thordals Member Joined: 11/9/2007 Last visit: 5/7/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have TIA V18 HMI project (Upd5) for TP1200 Comfort (migrate from MP377 WinCC2008), when i try to download project into panel i have an error : Adaptation of target device failed 8020AB001992FFF4! Panel Firmware : 17.00.00.05, i have firmware on disk : ../PortailV18/Data/Hmi/Transfer/17.0/Images/CP_7_9/CP_7_9_12_V17.0.fwf When i use HMI Panel Images Updater, TP1200 Comfort does not appaire ! What did i forget to do ? Thanks for help.

ElonksuM Experienced Expert Joined: 5/6/2022 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 589 Rating: (123)	Hi Fft, This problem is due to not having the correct panel image versions installed in the version you are trying to load the project with, in this case, version V18. Below you can find the error you are reporting in the following FAQ: "Error when loading the project into an HMI Panel with Firmware adaption" Therefore, in this case I recommend you to do the following. I recommend you to install the panel images manually by downloading the corresponding files from the following FAQ: "Image Downloads for SIMATIC HMI Operator Panels: Comfort / Mobile / Basic Panels" To do so, please refer to section 1.2 and proceed as follows to install the image versions. I indicate the procedure I did, may be useful for someone : On Virtual machine, i have installed TIA V17 (I'd remind you that I can't find any firmware (V18) for the TP1200 Comfort, it seems to stop at V17). Run WinCC Panel Image V17 Upd8. Well, on this machine all are update (V17). I have copied images panels directory ../Program/Siemens/Automation/PortalV17/Data/Hmi/Transfer/V17.0 in V18 : ../Program/Siemens/Automation/PortalV18/Data/Hmi/Transfer/V17.0. Now TIAV18 have images panel V17 in directory of v17 version, transfert my project writen in V18 to TP1200 Comfort (Firmware V17) Done !!!! Everything's fine
