TP1200 v17 no plc connection s7-300

Danmor Member Joined: 6/6/2022 Last visit: 8/4/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, so we are replacing a OP177 with a TP1200 firmware version 17 (tia portal 19) via profibus. Nothing changed on the PLC side (s7-300), no hmi on the hardware configuration. It doesnt establish connection to the PLC, currently using it via ethernet. What could be causing the tp1200 to not connect via profibus, but works fine when i switch it to ethernet? The profibus properties all are the same.

In this case you should proceed, according to what it seems to configure through proxy the communication between the PLC and the HMI, since I understand that you use different softwares, is it so? In that case I would recommend you to check the following entry: "Combined configuration with WinCC (TIA Portal) and STEP 7 V5.x or Combined configuration with WinCC (TIA Portal) and STEP 7 (TIA Portel) in separate projects (Video)" Best regards!

The thing is that this isnt the first time we did this, we did it with a s7-300 and a tp1500 and it worked first try.

Simatic Manager Step 7 for the PLC and Tia Portal V19 for the HMI, the previous HMI was on protool. The thing is that this isnt the first time we did this, we did it with a s7-300 and a tp1500 and it worked first try. Double check that the Profibus connector end resistor is in correct position.
