Hi all... I tried to install PLCSIM sp1 upd 1 on fresh Windows OS installation...Same problem...Instance can not start. Or if it's somehow started, it's not reacheable from Tia portal to download the project. I read this post: https://support.industry.siemens.com/forum/WW/de/posts/s7-plcsim-v18-problem/296391?page=0 so i suspect that problem is in Windows OS version. I have Windows 10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.3031. My next steps was: 1. Deinstall complete PLCSIM, and install 1st version of PLCSIM v18, same problem... 2. Then I tried with SP1 without update, same problem. It's indicative that I can start s7-1500 simulation but with licens type Advanced. If I try to simulate it with licence type Standard, same problem appears as with simulation of S7-1200. Does Siemens plan to release new update or new version of PLCSIM, because there is a lot of users with the similar problems? |

Hi! After checking compatibilities between OS Windows 10 22H2 and TIA Portal and PLCSIM V18 from Siemens Compatibility Tool Compatibilities I think that's not the problem... I know about another cases with this problem, so same question: Anyone knows a solution? |

If I recall correctly, several forum users have reported success installing PLCSIM v17 (with latest update) and using that simulator instead. If you switch to a different user, does the v18 PLCSim start working? I say that because windows user profiles can sometimes get configuration conflicts which prevent otherwise functional software from operating correctly. I suggest logging in with a local admin account (for testing purposes only), and try launching PLCsim v18 (with latest update installed). If it works, your user profile may be damaged in some way, or your network account does not have proper rights. Be sure and add your account to the PC local group for TIA Engineer.

Hello all... Thanks 0_Einsten for replay... 1. Tried with PLCSIM V17, When start simulation from Tia portal V18, info window appear with message which says that there are no compatible version. Then I tried to start PLCSIM v17 outside of the Portal, it's starts instance, but instance is not reachable from Portal. 2. I'm already logged as a local admin account. But it's not working. 3. My account is in group of Administrators, Siemens TIA Engineer, Simatic HMI. Also I can't see what is the relation with users, because PLCSIM V18 start normaly, open wrokspace, but can't start instances for S7-1200, S7-1500, with the license type Standard. I tried to start S7-1500 with the licence type Advanced, everithing works perfect. Realy strange behavior. BR, Milosh |
