yakupalkn Member Joined: 10/16/2020 Last visit: 8/15/2025 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi Dear Forum, I am using WinCC RT Pro v17, I want to see the alarm tag on the SCADA Alarm View when an alarm occurs. I have activated the Tag option in the Alarm View but the PLC tag of the alarm is not visibling on scada. If any alarm occures, I see the Tag box selection but inside the box is empty. Could you please help me to solve it?

Please share a screenshot of your alarm configuration and how it appears in Runtime: Parameter output in discrete alarms Also ensure that there is a connection between the PLC and RT Professional station.

Yes, I can see the tag value by using the "Insert parameter field" but our customer directly wants to see the alarm tag in Runtime. Becouse If any alarm occurs, they wanna check the reason of alarm from plc. If we can show the alarm tag in Runtime, It will be easier to solve the problem. The customer wants to see the alarm tag which triggered the alarm inside the tag section in the Alarm View. When I add screenshots, the forum system doesnt allow me to submit the reply (Forum#Post#Edit#Error#ErrorHeadline fault is occuring ). Therefore I couldnt share the screenshots… If possible to share any contact, I can share screenshots. I will be so glad If you help me.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 16612 Rating: (1943)	Hello yakupalkn The Systemblock "Tag" does not show the Tagname of the triggertag. It is defined to show the Tagname for Operator input alarms. If you want to show the Tagname (not the value) of a Triggertag for a common alarm you would have to use a userdefiined systemblock and here you have to write the tagname manually hardcoded. I do not see another way if you need the Tagname and not the value of the Name Bye Murof

AutoGen_283224 Joined: 3/24/2025 Last visit: 10/23/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I ran into that before — try checking if the tag is included in the runtime “Tag Logging” or if it’s missing from the connected PLC in Data Manager. Once I reloaded the project and recompiled the tags, the alarm showed up fine in WinCC RT Pro. You can explore the free tool as well. https://onlinealarm.co/
