Instruction "IB" not working

I want to read the inputs from my plc-314 from input address I0.0 to I5.7 but the IB instruction is not recognized. See code below:

 // 1. Ingangen uitlezen
   FOR #i := 0 TO 5 DO
       #byteVal := IB[#i];
       FOR #b := 0 TO 7 DO
           #index := #i * 8 + #b;
           IF #index <= 45 THEN
               #CurrInputs[#index] := #byteVal.(b);
           END_IF;
       END_FOR;
   END_FOR;

There is also an issue with the assignment of #byteVal.(b).

Any thoughts on this? I am using Tia Portal vs 19.0

You should look at the PEEK and PEEK_BOOL instructions for indirect access to the peripheral area.

However, for such a small amount of data, I would have taken a different approach: first copying the peripheral data into a dedicated area of a DB, and only afterwards performing the search loops on the DB.

@Gustavo Antonio Banchetti Brucatori is correct that there are better methods. His base idea is good. Peek/Poke instructions is however not an option for you. Best to use BLKMOV.
