Problem with installation TIA Portal V20: Enviroment analyze - install service failure

AutoGen_7377347 Joined: 4/8/2025 Last visit: 4/23/2025 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello, I want to install TIA Portal V19 (TIA_Portal_STEP7_Prof_Safety_WinCC_V19.iso (7,5 GB)(SHA-256) typical installation from that site - https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109820994/simatic-step-7-inkl-safety-s7-plcsim-and-wincc-v19-trial-download?dti=0&lc=en-US) and I have a problem with that installation. First of all I installed TIA STEP 7 V20(TIA_Portal_STEP7_Prof_Safety_WinCC_V20.iso (8,0 GB)(SHA-256) typical installation - list of installed aplications in attachment, from that site - https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109963850/simatic-step-7-incl-safety-s7-plcsim-and-wincc-v20-trial-download?dti=0&lc=en-PL). Installation of version V19 failed at the beginning at the window: Enviroment analyze - install service failure. I don't have any clue what causes this? Maybe that I installed TIA V20? Before installation of V19 I installed: - Net Framework 3.5 - Microsoft Visual C++: 2005(x86 and x64), 2008(x86 and x64), 2010(x86 and x64), 2012(x86 and x64), 2013(x86 and x64), 2015-2022(x86 and x64) I have installed TIA STEP 7 V20 and I want to install every version of TIA in that order: - V20 - V19 - V17 - V16 - V15.1 - V15 - V14 - V13 I try to redownload iso file but that didn't work. When I install another version of TIA I have a pop-up screen and link to log-file. My computer: HP Elitebook 650 G10 CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1335U 1.30 GHz RAM: 32,0 GB Windows 11 Pro x64 24H2 Everything in Windows Update is updated. This is completely new laptop, maybe I don't have some basic aplications or libraries? For now I install every TIA version that I need(except V19): V20, V17, V16, V15.1, V15, V14, V13.

So just type %autinstlog% in the address field of your explorer and you will see the log files. However, I would say that it is not a good idea to have so many instances of TIA Portal installed on the same computer. Most of the TIA Portal versions you have installed are not released for Windows 11, which means you will not get support for problems. And from my own experience, even if you have several different versions installed together on one computer, updating older versions can break the newer version. Kind regards Stefan
