Unable to disable light test?

Hi, 

I have a F-DQ module F-DI 8x24VDC HF_1 on a IM 155-6 PN ST rack 

I need to disable light test on some outputs as this is causing problems with the connected devices. However TIA portal will not let me disable the light test? 

Hovering over the greyed out checkbox says "The light test is always enabled for this F-module". 

Is it really impossible to disable light test? That doesn't seem right or logical?

 You should read the manual of the module, what is says about this. If i remember correctly, not all modules support the disable function.

The module name you quote is for a DI-module, not a DQ.

You probably have a F-DQ 8x24VDC/0.5A PP HF (6ES7 136-6DC00-0CA0). The light test is always enabled for this module. See also the manual, specifically section 4.2.2.6.

If you want an F-DQ module where the light test can be disabled, you can use the F-DQ 4x24VDC/2A PM HF (6ES7 136-6DB00-0CA0).
