I'm currently commissioning communication with the G120C series inverters via PROFINET, using the SinaSpeed block. As the 1512SP F-1 CPU will control 5 inverters, should I create an OB for each inverter or can I control all the inverters in one Cyclic interrupt OB? The doubt is repeated for the PID control, for this project 3 different PID controls will be used. According to the description of how to use the PID_Compact block, it is necessary to use a cyclic interrupt OB. Should I create an OB for each PID control or can I add all three PID controls to one OB?

For a more stabile cycle time of the OB1 I would use 2 or 3 different Cyclic-OB with a phase offset (look at properties/cyclic interrupt/phase offset). E.g. Cycle 30 ms, phase offset for the first OB 0 ms, for the second OB 10 ms and for the third OB 20 ms, then you have not all Cyclic OB at the same time. Pleas have a look at this link to the SinaSpeed-manual SINAMICS G: Controlling a speed axis with the “SINA_SPEED” block Your PID don't need a extra Cyclic OB if you use them as a Technology Object. If you don't use the Technology Object then is the cycle of your PID_Compact depending for the count of Cyclic OB. The cycle of the PID is also depending of your technology/process. If you need a more exactly answer we need a few more Information about your technology/process/application. regards CaOd
