Simatic manager problems in VM: Slow hardwareconfig & crashing editor

I have recently created VM with workstation pro. Everything seems to work fine, but we have two recurring annoying issues.

1 :Sometimes the window 'LAD, STL, FBD editor' just closes randomly without an error message. I can just open it, but the problem is when this happens during the monitoring of a funcion/block then you cannot go online anymore. 

I get the error D063 resource error: trigger event occupied. I have to restart Step 7 sometime, but most of the time my whole PC (host and VM). When pressing on more details on the error it says it cannot monitor this block but a debugging/monitoring function is still active for this block. 

2: all projects till now I can just open, compile and download the hardware. But with one project I swapped the CPU from a 315 2DP to a 315F- 2PN/DP and since that swap it takes 10 min to compile or download the hardware. S7 goes into 'not responding' for 10 min. On my old PG it works just fine. (Also another project with a 315F-2DP works fine so it is not safety related)

Step 7 installed: V5.7 + SP3

What I tried:

- windows defender is off on the VM

- excluded VM workstation pro from my anti-virus

- enough space on VM

- running S7 as administrator

- running S7 in compatibility mode

- reinstalling/repairing S7

are you using 1 CPU only in the VM? Might help to use 2 or 4 instead (depending on the host).

Thank you for your reply. My host has 20 cores and 28 threads (I7-13850HX) and 32 GB of RAM.

My VM is configured to use 26GB of memory and '12 processors' ( setting is 4 processors with 3 cores per processor')

Everything runs smooth ony the problems I mentioned above keep happening :(. Really frustrating when being online in a critical moment during production and then I have to restart the entire VM because S7 crashed

Update: the slow compiling was fixed by doing a save as with slow reorganization :)

Other problem still occurs sadly.
