Hey, epro S7 attribute S7_m_c (TRUE!) tells to system, that this variable will be automatically passed to WinCC as a tag (= part of structure tag), if you work with WinCC integrated in S7....... Have fun! uel123 |

Hello epro, to the best of my knowledge false will mean nothing. Elements of structures can't be transferred. So, assigning attributes to these elements is a wrong thing. I can't expect what will happen if you do it but all I know from my WinCC colleague that this is a wrong thing. Why can't you transfer the elements of an S7 structure or UDT to WinCC through OS compilation? Best regards. H-H |

Hey, EPRO! I would say, that this attribute tells the system the following: - that structural tag of type (name of FB) should be created - that this element belongs to this specific structural tag. I normally work in following way: In STEP 7: When I design a programm,Iallways try todescribe atypical behaveour of a sub-systemin a FB. For example, a drive with Micromaster on PB, or a PID controller,..... After I am happy with functionallity of written FB, I try to define, which parameters of this FB might be interesting for me also on SCADA. On those inputs, outputs and I-O, I change a parameter s7_m_c to true (on Static part of DB, it does not work). After creating a instance data block for specific FB-call, I mark property "Operator Control and Monitoring". on this DB. After compilation of system, I receive a structure tag in SCADA, withthe same structure name, as is the name of FB,..... and so on. This structure can not be modified in SCADA, it is read-only. But you can simply use its elements, or a structure in any picture, picture windows, and so on..... It behaves like any other structure tag in SCADA. In my opinion, itis a very simple way to organise both of your programs (STEP 7 AND SCADA!). I mustsay, that i have not tried, what happens, if you set the property S7_m_c to false.
