Is it possible to keep the settings changed instead of restoring back to the initial values?

createstars Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	deckard78 Hi, I have a 315-2 DP with a 128 kb MMC; it's happened thatafter a power failure I've found in a DB the data that was stored last time I did "Save RAM to ROM". I can't explain how is this possible, I thought that DB normally was retentive for default. Can someone give me an explanation for this event? Hi everyone, I have a similar problem as well. When i tried to change the settings in the HMI screen, which is suppose to save in the selected data block. However, the settings are changes back to initial values when there is a power shut down. Is it possible to keep the settings changed instead of restoring back to the initial values? Thank you. createstars

And some info about term "data" - FAQ:What does the terms Initial value (declaration view), Initial value (load memory) and Actual value mean in data blocks when a controller is loaded / restarted? createstars Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	Hi UMENCHO, Thanks for the information. However, the method mentioned in the last post requires the PG to update the actual values to the initial values. Is there anywhere that it update straight away without using the PG (Straight from the HMI)? Regards, createstars
