How do I go about converting FB1 blocks to OB1 Blocks?

catire Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I developed an application using Step 7 lite, and I used FB1 blocks. Now I´m not able to download, and I´ve been told that it´s required to convert from FB1 to OB1 blocks, so I can download. Question is how do I go about converting FB1 blocks to OB1 Blocks. Thanks Splitted from LIMITATION OF USING FBs.

Thanks Hello catire; First, welcome to the forum. Hope you find solutions here for your programming issues! But you must give us more information... What happens when you try to download your program? Any system message, any diagnostic LEDs active? Who said you have to convert your FB1 blocks to OB1? Based on what? OB1 is the cyclic OB of your PLC, it is used to call other blocks (much as a <main> function acts in a C-program). Do you call your FB1 blocks in OB1 at the moment? Have you set up parameters in your FB1 so that they can be called with various instances? Have you created instance DBs to be dowloaded with the FB1 Blocks? If you really want to move the FB1 code to OB1, or any function (FC or FB) in your program, simply copy and paste the various networks from one block to another. But at this time, until we have a better understanding of what you are attempting to do, I would not recommend youdoing this. The best thing you could do at this time is to comment your program adequately, stating what you are doing in your variious networks, and then posting an archive (.zipfile) here on the forum, as an attachment so we can have a look at it.
