Dimbas Posts: 75 Rating: (0)	I use function sfc51 for read Diagnostic buffer Data Record: A data record of partial list SSL-ID W#16#xyA0 has the following structure: NameLengthMeaning ID1 wordEvent ID info5 wordsInformation about the event and its consequences time4 wordsTime stamp of the event I receive only ID of events and address of defect module. How I can receive textof events for display on WinCC? How I can read text ofevents in Diagnostic buffer?

Theinfo descriptions are stored in STEP7 databases and are linked with those hex numbers to create a human description of the event when are displayed in Diagnostic Buffer etc. Where exactly do you want to display those messages? Dec Gold Expert Joined: 5/19/2006 Last visit: 10/13/2025 Posts: 550 Rating: (107)	You can't connect to STEP7 database but you can define most of the messages in WinCCText Library and have an indirect tag pointing to the text number. For example ifan event message arrives in the PLC read SZL 0xA0 and store the EventID value into Tag1. Then in WinCC have a Static text with the text property dynamic/indirect to point toTag1. You can configure an Alarm message for Tag1 when value changes too. A different way to do this in WinCC is using raw tag RAW_S7CHN ReadSZL function.
