Nanu_333 Bronze Member Joined: 5/19/2011 Last visit: 12/23/2024 Posts: 196 Rating: (5)	Dear All, I have simodrive 611A analog drive as a workhead motor drive, While stopping the drive is tripping in DC link overvoltage fault.(DC vltge >750)I wanted to connect braking resistor ,So please let me know where to connect the braking resistor for DC link overvoltage problem. Thanks

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello.... Does this machine was functioning earlier / all of a sudden you have this alarm? Ensure your spindle module is not defect first.....try reducing the RPM and check.... if youwant to connect braking resistoryou need to connect it atlast.... Regards, Prakash

At slow speed(reference below 2V),It is runing properly & also at high speed at no laod means belt isolation(ref more than 6V).

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello... I would suspect could be problem with your U/E module/ with Spindle module may be weak.... Have you checked the DC link voltage properly.... Check the U/e module first whether it is functioning prperly? Check the spindle module power cable connections and motor winding...... If you have spare module try replacing it and check.... I thing problem could be in U/E module so I am sending it for repaire, I dont have spare one. thanks.
