Step7 Professional 2010 PowerPack - license 5.4 + upgrade

MAZ37 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi A few years ago I bought Step7 v5.4 (standard) and it worked fine on WinXP. When my company had moved to Win7 (64-bit, but I felt that it might gives some troubles, so I got 32-bit - "just in case"), then problems with Step started... v5.4 installer shows that the program can't be installed on "unknown" system (it doesn't recognize win7 at all). So I ordered "2010 pro. powerpack", which should upgrade my "basic" version to "professional". I installed all the softwares from that powerpack, transfered all licenses (old and new) to HDD and now all they are visible in ALM, but I can't do "upgrade" on them. What am I doing wrong that it doesn't work? 1. Will it help if I firstly install that powerpack on old computer (with winxp), upgrade it there and then transfer that upgraded licence to new computer (with win7) ? 2. Why ALM can't do it ?

Then go to the OLD licence and click on upgrade option then the ALM will search and choose the upgrade licence. Have fun...
