SK(2*A) Posts: 140 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I am pretty new to usage of arrays in Siemens' programming. I have a sensor whose values are outputted at a rate of 10Hz. I want to make an array of 100slots to store 100 values of my sensor's output in a FIFO manner. Like my latest value should be at 1st slot and oldest at 100th and with the inclusion of each new value the oldest value should go out. Suppose my 1st value of the sensor is 2, it should be inserted in the slot 1 and when the value is updated then new value should be inserted in slot 1 and the value '2' which was in slot 1 previously should move to slot 2 now. Then I want to take average of those 100 values currently in the slots. This process should continue forever. Please send me some similiar program or an FB which I can include in my program for instant success. I need this help very urgently! Thanks Syed

SK(2*A) Posts: 140 Rating: (0)	Dear Manmeet, I am highly thankful to you for your help. I have checked the program by inputting a variable and simulating a pulse at trigger input (10/s) and getting correct average value. But I saw that you have to set the M210.0 i.e in-sel input to make FB work continuously. Can you explain what is that input doing?However I will test this with my sensor's readings and let you know how its behaving. But I really appreciate your effort. Thankyou once again!

If you want to record value after set time intervals, then you need to always keep the "in_sel" TRUE and provide the time pulses at "in_Time_trigger". B. If you want to record value only when there change from previous recorded value, then you need to keep "in_sel" always FALSE. In this case two consecutive values cannot be same. That's it !
