CP342-5 Profibus Communication Failure

Below is my configuration: CPU317-2DP TIM 3V-IE CP 342-5 I have implemented Emergancy Shutdown Logic for Oil Wells, in which I have considered some Normally close contacts from field. But whenever my CP goes in stop mode or after a complete panel restart, CPcommunication with the ET200M over profibus breaks for few seconds, due to which my RTU find those NC contacts open and the logic makes a shutdown for whole RTU. I have a bit which is Highwhenever a CP goes in stop and I am jumping my ESD block call for few seconds. Despite this afterCPU comes to start mode CPU gives the close command. Didsomebody face the same problem? Your early reply will be helpful. Kind regards, Raheel

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I just wonder myself, do you check the DP Status output of the DP_RECV Function? If so, what does it show while the Inputs are not valid. I think that, while the Values of the inputs are not valid the DP Status Bits 5, 4, 2 or 1are not 0. See for yourself. If these values are not 0 the Data of your DP_RECV Function may not be valid anyway and should not be considered in your project. Best regards J_Bell
