WinCC v11 Pro - S7-1200 communication failed

iwanhoo Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Recently we bought TIA Portal WinCC Pro v11 and STEP 7 basic (both SP2 versions). I created the project. Inserted the PLC (S7-1212C) and HMI device (WinCC Pro). connected them with HMI connection using Communication module-ProfiNET/Ethernet-IE general (because I'm using Ethernet port on my not-Siemens-PC mother board). Like on the pic1. You can see the IP settings also. I defined int tag in PLC and conect HMI tag to that tag. During it there is no error or warning massages. I placed the tag on the main (and only) screen. And then tried to start simulation. After the simulation is started on the screen the tag has gray color and there is "!" sign on it. No value. Any idea why? When I'm using OPC to communicate with the same PLC communication is OK. So there is no cabling problem. Somebody please help... Attachment pic1.JPG (1160 Downloads)

The RT simulator uses that configuration to determine how to communicate with the PLC. The PLC project has been compiled (all, including hardware), downloaded, and running without error?

Hello Dwayne Chou, Do not press Select under the Add/Remove Interface, rather choose the CP-TCPIP under the Access point of the Application at the top. As said earlier - Why does communication not work between WinCC Professional Runtime and S7-1200?
