If you click on the ID you are interested in, you will get a detailed information on the data record. For example W#16#0111: help Data Record A data record of system status list SSL-ID W#16#xy11 has the following structure: Name Length Meaning Index 1 word Index of an identification data record MlFB 20 bytes Index W#16#0007: reserved Index W#16#0001 and W#16#0006: Order number of the module; String consists of 19 characters and a blank (20H); such as for CPU 314: "6ES7 314-0AE01-0AB0" BGTyp 1 word Reserved Ausbg1 1 word Index W#16#0001: version of the module Index W#16#0006 and W#16#0007:"V" and first number of the version ID Ausbg2 1 word Index W#16#0001: reserved Index W#16#0006 and W#16#0007: remaining numbers of the versionID Best regards, yy1

If i read the diagnostic buffer out using SSL W#16#00A0, how should you interpret the "info" and "Time" part of the DR? These are listed as 5 and 4 words in length respectivly but should be of type string and time? Im obviouslynot understandingsomething im just not sure what!! Thanks Jon

Thanks Jon If you look at the diagnostic buffer in the portal, you should see the timestamp and info detail. Maybe seeing how the portal software uses that same information can help you decide how to use it in your plc logic. I know it helped me to see the the details in the portal to know how to best interpret the results in the DR since I didn't have access to the official documentation for reading Profinet/bus DRs.

yy1 Posts: 535 Rating: (112)	Dear captinjon, the 'time' element of this DR is in datatype DATE_AND_TIME help Byte 0: year (BCD 0 to 99, BCD#90 = 1990, BCD#0 = 2000, BCD#89 = 2089) Byte 1: month (BCD 0 to 12) Byte 2: day (BCD 0 to 31) Byte 3: hour (BCD 0 to 23) Byte 4: minute (BCD 0 to 59) Byte 5: second (BCD 0 to 59) Byte 6: The two most significant digits of MSEC (BCD 0 to 999) Byte 7 (4MSB): The least significant digit of MSEC (BCD 0 to 9) Byte 7 (4LSB): Weekday (1 = Sunday ... 7 = Saturday) About the 'info' element I only can confirm the posting of huggy_d1.
