Luiz Bitencourt Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm starting using Simatic and Step7, and I have some problems about date and time: - I need to save on a DB the date and time of an event. How can I do this? I think I need to move the actual time and date to the DB but I don't know how to locate where are these data. Is there on some system memory? - I'm using a Siemens KTP400 HMI and I think I had success setting the system date and time on S7-1200, but on the display of HMI these information are wrong. Has the HMI another configuration to set date and time? Thanks, Luiz

On Event, use Read Local Time and save it to s DTL variable. Has the HMI another configuration to set date and time?" On HMI Connection tab, there are Area pointer tab also. Use Area Pointer to allocate PLC variable to which you transfer RTC.

For the second one I created a DB row for the RTC, I nammed this PLC_RTC. You said to create a Tag, but creating a simple Tag I can only put the "Date" type on this, and I think I need a "DTL" type. On the "main" I created a continuous Read_Local_Time instruction to update that PLC_RTC row on my DB. I configured the Area Pointer to MyDB.PLC_RTC. It doesn't work... Any idea to solve this? Thanks, Luiz
