We have completed a number of jobs using the ET200S CPU (IM151-8) to control a number of sinamics drives via profinet and provide user interface via a comfort panel.

Until now we have been using Step 7 5.5 for the CPU, Tia V11 and V12 for the comfort panel and starter software for the drives with no major issues.

To begin creating a fully integrated project in Tia portal I started by migrating a drive interface block into Tia. Here we normally take words back from the drive into a Function and use the individual bits of the word to drive outputs eg drive status word into the function then use bits of the word to drive an output eg run, reverse etc.

The reverse method is used to give commands to the drive via local words in the function.

In Tia I could also do this for the S71200 cpu but I had to change the format of the addressing of the bits in the local word to tagname.x0, tagname.x1 etc.

However now when I try to do this on the ET200S CPU it tells me this is not available for the CPU.
Also have triedto use a structure data type (as it is when migrated from 5.5) but I cannot move a word into the structure as I could in 5.5 eg 047e = stop command, 047f start command.

There is an option called AT Construct that can be used easily for the 1200 and 1500 range but for the ET200S and 300 CPUs it is only available in SCL, which is not ideal moving forward as we normally use ladder.

Has anyone come across this and has a solution? I could start and use M words but again it is starting to get counter productive when the migration from 5.5 to Tia is suppose to be a seamless process.
