motors compatibility with the drives

can anybody tell me,

we have three siemens motors rating 22kw, 30kw, 45kw running on simple star/delta mode.we want them to run on inverters in the future.My question is, Is it quite suitable for these motors to run them on inverters.

If not then why?

I raised this question in simotics but you are online so i need your remarks also
