Counting a product in a minutes. Creating a DB for Timer

Colehii Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm newbie for S7-1200. Normally for timer "TON", we just need to type time for "PT". But how if we want to control the variable from touchscreen. How should i do this? To count a product, i use pulse up to count each product. But time running all the time. how to calculating for it?

Hi-ya, We all have to start somewhere.. we all were newbies at one stage or another. Help use help you.. * what PLC have you worked on before, if any? * have you done anything on the S7-1200 before? * what human machine interface do you use to link to the S7-1200? * what version of TIA are you using? Knowing these will make it easier to know where to start from. Giving the system manual of the S7-1200 a read did help me in understanding what the differences are when comparing the S7-1200 with the AllenBradley Micrologix / Siemens S7-200 / Siemens S7-300. Hope to hear from you again. w
