Documentation of the DP System Read Block - CP 342

It appears to be some sort of standardised function (ladder logic block) and reads in from the profi network and has some other outputs such as read diagnostics and station diags. Does it read addresses from the profi network sequentially (give there is no input to the block) ? It is running through a cp 342 card
