need help for comparing output

ect_09 Experienced Member Joined: 1/24/2014 Last visit: 6/11/2025 Posts: 119 Rating: (1)	Hello, i want to compare output which have data type Bool, am feeling trouble because compare \|=\| is not taking bool type, for example. i1 q1 --\| \|-------------------------------( )-- i2 q2 --\| \|-------------------------------( )-- now i want to compare them and want to perform another action if both become trues, am using TIA portal 12... kindly help me in this way... thanks.....!!

Don't you think AND function do the "Both True check" for you? There are 2 types of of functions.Basic function that mainly handle binary logic operation/ memory functions and ... . On the other hand digital functions such as comparison/arithmatic ... work on variable with 8-16-32 bit width.

You are right.It is possible to check inputs and outputs with checks for byte or int to evaluate the bit patterns. For example, you can evaluate status of open/close of several doors in a running machine to issue a command. Consider all bits in IB0 should be on because of safety reasons.You check it with 16#FF and stop the machine when the pattern is violated.It is developed like this: L IB0 L B#16#FF <>I S M0.0 // Trip ****Note, this is not an actual logic.It is only a demo**
