GSDML for Encoder 6FX2001-5QN25

Hello friends,

I need to connect a Siemens profinet encoder '6FX2001-5QN25' to a profinet controller IC695PNC001 made by General Electric.
To makethe hardware configurationI need the GSDfile for the encoder. I get this GSD file from the internet and the Proficy software (made by General Electric) reject this GSD. So, for this reason I wroteto General Electric as following:

1.When I get 'Heave GSDML' from the 'Profinet Device Catalog' appears the following message:
The length must be 4 or 6 characters
Parameter name: id
2.on the 'feedback zone_messages' of the Proficy Machine Editor I have the following message:
Import of "GSDML-V2.2-SIEMENS-MC-Encoder-20110603.xml" failed

Could you tell me please, what I need to do to solve this problem?

Either the GSDML file is out-of-date (wrong version) or it is corrupt.
Contact your vendor (Siemens) to see if they have an updated version for you or send it to GEIP supportto see if they can help with fixing it.


I putted in attach the version [20110603(1).zip ] of the GSD filethatI found it. Also I found the 20110603.zip but is the same.

Could be a new version of the GSD file ?
Please tell me where shoul I find a new GSD file for the profinet encoder '6FX2001-5QN25' ?

I have the following response from General Electric,

Constantin,

We currently only support GSDML schema versions 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2. This is documented in our PME help documentation (see attached)

We are unable to import this specific GSDML file into Machine Edition because the GSDML file in question consists of features that follow the v2.25 GSDML definition. It may be version 2.2, but it contains features that are based off the 2.25 GSDML definition as confirmed by Siemens Support per your description below when you submitted the case to GE.
