William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1204)	Hi there. Yes it is possible what you are asking. Please look at your the manual you got with the drive or download from the web.. "Getting Started, Sinamics V20 Inverter'. HARDWARE -------------------- For the physical connection look at page 6. The way the inputs can be connected using the drive's own 24V power source is shown. NPN or PNP is shown. With the relay output you can switch back the power of the V20 either in PNP configuration or NPN configuration. OR you can connect an external power supply - you do not use 0V and 24V pins but you connect a power level to DIC. The power level will be.. for NPN it is 24V... for PNP it is 0V. V20 PROGRAM ------------------------- See page 12 for Quick Commisioning. The connection macros are shown on page 13. We can use these as a base to work from. Recently CN02 did the trick for me. The settings effected is shown on page 15. When the Quick Commisioning is done, you can customize the settings. In my case I wanted to have I1 for RUN with FORWARD and I2 for RUN with REVERSE. CN02 however is DIRECTION for I2. So.. page 18 under P701 is what the values can be - - I changed P702 index 0 from 12 to 2. Careful for the "index" numbers. If you go into a setting a "in 0" is shown. Press OK again to go into the actual setting. The idea with the index number, is that you can set parameters for more than one motor. Index 0 is for your primary motor. I hope this is helpful to you. Other questions about the V20 can be asked in the SINAMICS sub group. Good luck. w
