pg/pc 64 bit problem

olloy Posts: 417 Rating: (37)	Hi! As I can uderstand, question is about compatibility of STEP7 (TIA portal) and Windows 64 bit? Here is alinkto the compatibility table. And there is few notes: STEP 7 is not compatible with the 64-bit version of MS Windows XP Professional. STEP 7 is not compatible with the 64-bit version of MS Windows Vista. You need at least SP2 for the 64-bit version of MS Windows 7. Also, specialcompatibility toolis available from Siemens. Hope it helps. If I misunderstood you, provide more details, please. P.S. I alsways suggest to read installation notes and requirements for chosen software.

olloy Posts: 417 Rating: (37)	Nope, you are wrong. If your TIA version is compatible with operating systems and all requirements are met, that means all function (including PG/PC) will work. There is no such idea, that only part of the software is compatible.

Note: In TIA the settings from the "old" setting PG/PC from the Control panel (S7ONLINE etc.) no longer used! The communication interfaces you configure directly in TIA Portal in the projekt tree.
