If yes, Please tell me hw can I do it. If you have TIA Portal Professional, you can change your device to s7-1500 for an interim plcsim solution. For the s7-1200, the starter kits provide the hardware / software at such a reduced cost, it is likely why Siemens does not offer a plcsim solution. I prefer hardware, but can see how desk space could quickly get out of control for the larger devices.

William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1204)	Hi. I regularly use the simulator to simulate S7-1200 code segments.. and I am happy with the results. My suggestion is to create the code in an S7-1200 and then transfer this into another program that uses the S7-1500. This way you are sure that the coding you developed is not using functions that is only available in the S7-1500. It is nice to be able to have the simulator so that you can test coding concepts anywhere you take your PC with you and it is also off-line to the running process. If you wish to test code that makes use of hardware (PTO / HSC / hardware interrupts / ++), there is no substitute for having a PLC. For this purpose even a CPU1211 will do, in most cases.
