I can't download hardware configuration to a 1212C CPU

OSBALDO Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi I have this problem: I try to download the hardware configuration to the PLC but after the Step 7 Basic compiles correctly, and being ready to load, the software indicates an error in the information area. The error that shows is: Modifying test functions are already active. Thus downloading the hardware configuration is denied.,6/10/2010,6:31:14 PM Loading aborted (errors: 1; warnings: 0).,6/10/2010,6:31:19 PM This message references to a help subject that shows as follow: Help on message 223:2 Glossary Description You may not download any hardware configuration with active TIS jobs. Resolution Exit the test function and download the hardware configuration once again. Does anybody knows what these active TIS jobs are? Let me tell you that this problem began 2 weeks ago, but I haven't installed any new software on my computer for months so I don't think this is the problem. I have uninstalled Step 7 basic and installed again but the problem continues. Can somebody help me with this? Because I need to change the IP address and the configuration of a HSC and right now I can't. Regards

OSBALDO Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the answer Pegaia but I have solved the problem by downloading my program in the memory card with the Simatic Card Reader tool. Then inserting it in the PLC and with this the harware configuration could be loaded in the PLC.

enookway Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I had the same error. Eventually found that the Memory card was the problem. Advised by Siemens tech support that if you are downloading program via ethernet you dont need a memory card. Procedure was: 1. Remove memory card 2. Reset PLC to factory settings (Online and diagnostics --> Functions --> Reset to factory settings) 3. Reboot PC 4. Start Step 7 and assign IP address 5. Download program. I have also encountered numerous other PC to S7-1200 comms problems via ethernet but seem to have some reliability now by manually setting my PC IP address to the same subnet as the S7-1200. The automatic "additional IP address" function that Step 7 uses if you are on BootP or other subnet appears to be very unreliable.

Usab Posts: 33 Rating: (4)	TIS stands for Test und Inbetriebsetzung in German, test and commissioning in English. It is a set of services in the CPU runtime. Typical TIS jobs are force, monitoring, trace, etc. If you see the error messages regarding TIS, the first thing you should check is if you have force enabled on the CPU, that is most likely the reason.
