Muhammad Haris Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	I have previous experience with C++ and Java and I think data handling will be comparitively easy in SCL. Can you share getting started Manual for SCL. I have searched but can't find some good one for begineers. Also, help regarding using array in LAD will be appreciated. The reason I can't keep the update cycle of 10 sec is that client want update at every second.

You can create a complete program in SCL if you wanted. You start by deleting OB1 and then re-inserting OB1 with SCL. I would not - there are some things (ex. Timers) that is not so nice in SCL. SCL works very well for mathematical equations and data processing. Small functions are also good. There are no for free SCL guide that I know of. TIA does have an instruction toolbox to work from.. knowing C++ you should not have too much trouble. Using SCL will however not automatically solve your problem. You use the language that makes the most sense for you to "speak" solution. Updating every second is not a problem. There is nothing stopping you for having a buffer of 60 values and working with a "running sum". Please look at the "running average" example from the link I have provided earlier. Using array values in LAD is like working with them in SCL. #MyBit[#index] -----\| \|--------------------[MOVE] 0 [ ] MyDB.Value[#index] ..where "index" is a local variable of type INT. I recommend you browse through these forum pages and look for some sample codings. But most important that you develop coding that is not effected by the scan cycle. Good luck. w
