Does any one know how to add 3 analogue values together and supply the resuiltant as an analogue output Help would be much appreciated |

Hello JRD, please see the attached file. Another example about "basic arithmetic functions" you can find here: http://www.automation.siemens.com/logo/html_76/products/02Applications/index.html But remeber that the output can only handle 0-10V (internal value 0-1000). Hello, of course, the plan and the info from FUX is right. If you want to reduce the units to make an addition of n (for you n= 3) values, then look at the attachment. I have use a little trick to eliminate mostly of the needed amplifier with GAIN = -1. Normaly (and with the solution from FUX) for the addition of n values you need (n - 1) * 3 units, but with my solution you need only [(n - 1) * 2] + 1. AndI have add a test with 2 units to secure the analoge output range from 0 to 1000 of a hardware output AQ1 or AQ2 - this soud be in every case you use a hardware output!!
