How to Upload programm from PLC in RUN mode?

kanan Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Hi. Can I upload programm from PLC which is running -without any problem? The PLC is running and i must not stop it, but i want to get programm with discriptions and save it. I can get programm using "display accessible nodes" but then i can not get discriptions... could any body help me? thanks.

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Bydescriptions if you means block comments, these are stored in the project and not in the PLC. So when you upload from the PLC to a "new" project you'll not see any block comments. Hope I did not misunderstand you question.

Symbolic block name. 2. Block parameter names. These are substituted by default parameter names. 3. Network comments. 4. Block comments. See the attachment for a clear understanding. I'm right?

The think is if i do not have(lost) the same program in my laptop which is in PLC but have step7 and i have to make a troubleshooting i will not able to do it??...because i will not undestand what block for what, and what input and output signals used for?? i think it is not normal

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	kanan: I can understand your problem but this is normal. The upload feature should be used only as an “emergency” backup measure. On the other hand storing all information on the CPU will consume lot of memory and make it inefficient. It’s a design issue I guess and one has to live with this.
