captinjon Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Could someone explain how the HSC is addressed in the 1212C? I need 6 high speed counters so have the optional SB1221. In the hardware configuration the input addresses are I4.0, I4.1, I4.2 and I4.3 for the SB 1221. When i configure the HSC in the CPU, HSC1 is I4.0, HSC 2 is I4.2 but HSC 5 is also I4.0 and HSC 6 is I4.2. How can 2 different HSC use the same input? I have 6 sensors which i would like to monitor the frequency of which are all wired to the individual inputs (2 on the CPU) Thanks in advance

Thanks Hi Each HSC chanel needs two digital input .for example HSC 1 need I 0.0 and I 0.1 so in your case in order to config 6 HSC you need 12 DI (8 DI integerated cpu inputs and 4 DI signal board inputs)

josedaniel48 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I would like to ask you about some isuue on HSC configuration When i configure the HSC fora simple phase signal, there are two optional inputs (d:counting direction and R:counting initialization). i would like to know if i can use this two OPTIONAL inputs as different digital inputs in the program so if i can configure this two optional inputs por the HSC as not used or just pre-configured from the software i would appreciate your quick answer a lot
