Petrov82 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello I am a new member of forum, but i already work with SIMATIC manager and SCL. I have a follow question. How to configurate SIMATIC manager for work in a project team? We have a WIN server PC where is locate Simatic Project. I want to upload my part of SIMATIC project to the server and join my work with other members of project team. We have only one STATION under SIMATIC project. I will be glad to any answer. THX!!!

JCrox Posts: 26 Rating: (1)	Hi, Multiproject is a good option, especially if you have independent engineering groups each working Simatic Objects (Simatic PCs, Stations etc) and wanting to come together when they're finished. Unfortunately, time and memory has moved on and one engineer working on a single station (say a S7-417 with 8MB of RAM) could be taking an awful lot of time to program and there is no option to split a station into various projects. There are two options split the station into a number of stations then bring the S7 programs at the end. This would be hard to manage to ensure symbols and objects did not clash. It also doesn't work very well if the program cannot be split easily or an HMI object (WinCC) needs to be configured at the same time. I've had some success with simply sharing the project. I'm using Step 7 V5.4. Each engineer is able access the same S7Proj/PROJECT directory and the Simatic Workstation is setup for sharing. Add the network project to each of the engineer's Step 7 setups and everyone can work together (sort of). Need to be careful with consistency checks compilation and the like. F5 (Refresh) is a useful key sometimes. I've used this on a PCS7 Project. I wasn't able "share" the multiproject but was able to share projects and libraries independently. It supports plant view as well as component view.
