How to add symbols to Symbol Editor

I'm new to Siemens. Using SIMATIC Manager STEP 7 S7/M7/C7 V5.6 + HF1

How do I add symbols to the Symbol Editor? I want to add Boolean tags, timers, counters etc. that do not have an I/O Address. When I try to do this, I get errors:

A TAG in the TAG table always needs a "full" declaration (address and data type).

 Thanks for the reply. The data type is CU. But I don't know what the address is.

 Example for a counter it could be C0, C1 and so on.
