Setpoints loss when PLC power Failure

Dear All,

I have a PLC 414-4H, sometimes due to power Failure, we lose our setpoints whose tags are from DB's. Is there any option so that we would not lose our setpoints?.

What is the best way to assign Setpoint tags So in case of power failure setpoint could not be lost?

Hello Muhammad;

When you have finished commissioning your project and the DBs contain all the needed setpoints that you want to keep, follow the instructions in the following FAQ to save the values of your DB as initial values.

Then whenever the CPU is stopped or loses power, you will always come back to these values.
