kenglinh Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Dear all, My company has many PLC S7 400H systems, all programs not yet set password, sometimes operator open Step 7 software and monitoring, so Im very worry about that. I need to set password for all system. - How can I set password (Monitoring, Edit, Download..) when system running - It need to stop or reset some things ? Thanks everybody !

Pay attention especially to this sentence: The password only becomes active once the changed data has been downloaded into the S7-CPU. So it implies that modifications for password protection must be made in the CPU properties (in HWConfig) and then downloaded to the CPU, which requires that the CPU be on Stop mode. You cannot do this unless you are online with the PLC. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
