How to type in ladder/STL logic and see the string value (text) on WinCC?

My ask is how to type in ladder/STL logic and see the string value (text) on wincc. Please could some one drive me? I'll appreciate that. In any case, basically you have to create a String[] variable in your PLC, usually that is done inside a DB. Note that the size of the string will always be 2 bytes longer that the number of characters you reserve, the fist byte contains the number of bytes reserved, the second byte contains the actual number of bytes used.Then at offset 2 the fist character of the string starts. Then in your WinCC (whatever version) create a String tag that you will connect to the address of the PLC string. Sachinpatke Posts: 623 Rating: (77)	Hi hextalker, U can declare string in DB with the help of earlier posts. The attached image will show IEC blocks related to strings. Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi Daniel, I'm using this software's: SIMATIC Manager V5.5+SP3 Revision level: K5.5.3.0 TIA V11 SP2 STEP 7 Professional V11 SP2 WinCC Advanced V11 SP2 SIMATIC WinCC flexible V2008 SP3 Build: V1.4.0.0_1.16.0.16 I would like to load a string like this example 'This information is not correct' (just an example), or 'Project HMI code:', or 'Released by:', or 'Date of released:' into a DB. But my idea is to edit this information on PLC program or on HMI, both ways working, when someone released a new software actualization. Thanks for your help! Best, Rodrigo Silva
