S5 discret input module question

last85 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Hi, dear collegues. I have the Simatic S5 System with CPU 115 U. One of my discret input modules doesn't work properly and i wanna change it to another and see what happens. The problem is that this bad module is labeled 430-7LA11, and i haven't the same module. I have only 430-7LA12 module. Are this two interchangable? Thanks for your replies for advance.

last85 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Thanks for your help. I checked the module power and all connections, its ok. The new module used to work in system with installed im 305 or 306, maybe its settings installed to work with it? Its just suggestion.

last85 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Thanks for all your answers. I found the problem. On my 420-7LA11 module the ground wire was only on one group of inputs(like E8.0-E8.7). I think this type of modules have the common ground and that is why it works ok. But 420-7LA12 module did not want to work until i gave a common wire to all input groups.
