S5 115U 941B Inputs an Outputs definition

Hi,

It is possible to define in this S5 the byte number of an input card for example the first card will be I0.0 to I0.7? If yes how I do this or where I can see the defined bytes for the inputs ans outputs. I'm asking because I have here a system with ASi slaves, and It has an INPUT that is always activated and I don't have it in the electrical drawing. And the eletrical drawing has all the inputs and outputs completed and that exists in the machine. The input is I32.5 and is always true and I don't have in eletrical drawing. Following the Bytes distribution logic this input should be from ASi slave one, but the system don't have a slave with address one.

in S5-115U are two ways for addressing I/O cards. Pls look for chapter 6.2.1 and 6.2.2

Hello Nuno,

From your description I am assuming you have a ASI Master Card (CP2433 or similar) in your system.

If yes, than the start address of the card may be input byte 32.

Nibble Node 1 would be I 32.0 ... I 32.4

I 32.5 to I 32.7 are reserved for diagnostic purpose (Control Nibble). 

Please search the Forum for the CP2433 CP Card and read through chapter 2. There you can find the meaning of each bit depending on your application / processor / configuration.

Now everything makes sense, after analyse the program it makes sense that the bits they are using are for AS-i diagnostic and to trigger the proper action in the machine when the AS-i fails. Thank you for your help.
