When removing a DI8x24VDC ST from CPU 1512SP it dosen't go into STOP mode

Beacuse I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find it

Check the profinet configuration for the remote I/O device around where you set the profinet IP address.  Look for the diagnostics checkbox for when the profinet connection is lost.  I believe it is not checked.  Toggle it, download the hardware configuration and try again.

 

And if you want to enforce specific port connections, see attached, and check the box for Monitor.
