Stu5 Regular Member Joined: 11/6/2019 Last visit: 4/9/2024 Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi I havent done s7 classic in a long time and need guiding, I have a machine which has been modified over the year and I havent got an up to date program , I've done a compare and found the blocks that different, which I would like to copy the online to the offline program, can you remind me if I update in the compare or if I go online first and drag to the offline program. Cant remember thanks stu

SOble Posts: 511 Rating: (106)	Take a look over there Copy online to offline blocks It is actually recommended to open empty project and go to the upload station, than you can copy blocks into your project

Piotr.M Platinum Expert Joined: 6/24/2013 Last visit: 11/14/2025 Posts: 1696 Rating: (433)	Best route is to do a detailed compare (in compare window click on block and then do details) then manually port changes otherwise you will loose all the comments and variable names in the block... moreover, it will let you understand what exactly was changed. compare with ticked box to ignore different values in data blocks - it would display blocks with different structure (online data in DBs does change in runtime anyway)
