Daniele32 Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I kindly ask for information on a problem that never happened to me. I have a 1511F CPU. I updated the CPU firmware (V2.6) I did bench tests with profinet and profisafe devices and everything was fine. Once the cpu was installed in the switchboard and field tests started, one of my colleagues at the start of the cpu, found that the cpu remains in a CONNECTING state (from the display on the CPU front), remaining stalled in this condition. He also tried to do a factory reset but he couldn't. What is the cause of that stalling CONNECTING ?? thank you

Hati Platinum Member Joined: 9/21/2012 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 4848 Rating: (512)	Did you only update the PLC filrmware, or did you also update the display firmware? They both need to be updated to the same firmware version.

Update the display firmware also. CPU and CPU display always need to have the same firmware versions.
