I need some help with STL

aliuta2000 Bronze Member Joined: 1/26/2007 Last visit: 7/29/2025 Posts: 123 Rating: (4)	Heloo, I have received an line and i have anFB programmed in STL and i do not know what means some lines form that network : The network is something like: A L 14.0 =M131.0 A L 14.1 =M131.1 A L 14.2 = M145.3 What i am not Knowing is what means L 14.0 ...LXX XXX (and so on)and from where it comes , because afrom this L's are dependings a lots of conditions to start my line. Some of ALx.x are 1 but i do no know whyand fromwhere to take them . This program is in the secon master from the line. The masters are connected by an DP/DP coupler. Does somebody have an ideea to help meas soon ass possible ? Thank you very much

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 5/11/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi, L x.x are local variables of the FB, normal these are used to couple the variables that are used on the FB to parameters on the outside... It are the temporarys of the FB that are placed on the Locals.

Thijs Posts: 121 Rating: (16)	The Lxx bits are from the temporary (L memory area). The bits from the outside are in the V memory area and with an FB allso in the DI memory area. So if your programs uses Lx.x bit you should look where these are written in the FB call. It should be written before they are acced (if the programmer who written the program understood the principle, in the field I still see programs were obviously this wasn't true) Sometime programmers trick with this by first fetching data and putting is in the TEMP memory and in the further program accessing bits from the data so your realy sure you don't know were it's comming from. Crossreference doesn't work when someone has been playing with pointer. But first off all, check if you can find were the L bits are comming from. (hint, rightclick -> 'Go To' -> 'Local Application' << 'Ctrl+Shift+B') It might be right there Good luck
