Draw a polygon via script on a LAYOUT (Document)

Hi,

I am looking for a possibility to draw a polygon via script on a LAYOUT (Document).

Something like that, that I can define some points and the polygon is set along that points 

Until now i can set the polygon on the LAYOUT with 

'a = Document

'b = polygon object

a.report.open

a.report.reportdocument.CreateSymbol b, 184, 72, 184, 72

a.report.save

a.report.close

but that only creates a DocObj for the polygon but the polygon itself is not visible on the Document.

Now I would need a function to create a "visible symbol" of the polygon on the document.

That it looks like an Polygon which was originally placed by hand on the document.

But unfortunately until now I did not find something.

thanks for your video.

But that is not what I am looking for.

In your video you create a "Dummy" rectangle without any functions.

The Polygon which I would need is a base object in COMOS.

You can also zoom symbol one by one with the help of script and check where exactly the polygon lies.

Hi,

unfortunately your script does not help to make the symbol visible.

I think it does not work because the symbol is the result of the polygon lines and they are not created when I place the object on the document.

That is still my missing piece "How to create the polygon lines via script"

I could reproduce the scenario by changing the Symbol type of the drawing.

In other words, are you using a diagram wherein the symbol type mentioned has not any corresponding symbol in Polygon base object?

[But, I believe you said, you could do it manually.]
