wagis Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	hi guys i have a problem, windows!! sorry for cursing. it has decide to update it self. so when i try to open fb in tia i get "License 'STEP 7 Basic' was not found" see pic i have readed a lot of problems with ALM, its not the 100 error code so that solution does not work. i have have date tia to see if that solves it but nope. is there any other then to somehow do a new windows install with the 1703? dose any one have a iso of home 1703? Feels odd that you get punished for buying the software when pirated copying it, you get a better product that does work despite windows update for free. Attachment proble.PNG (1689 Downloads)

wagis Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	still not working. have been working on a vm this day but windows is just horrible. it seems that i cant turn off the update shit, or choose what update i want to install and have internet access on the vm. worked on it for 20 hour now. feel ripped off for buying my software. is it anyone that got it working tia and internet access (questionmark) (windows decided that have a english keyboard now)

wagis Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Done some digging and testing but not to manage to get a solution. So correct me if I'm wrong. But the options I got is 1 run a VM and some how find correct win 10 version. Dose anyone have win 10 1703 home link or some how can provide me with it? 2 go for pirated software, that I like to avoid 3 let my child use 1000s euro of hardware as toys? After spending well above 30 hour dealing with this ***, and none the wiser. I can't see any other way. Ca anyone see a different solution?

Installed Siemens software from control panel if you cannot get any Siemens software to launch so you can look at "help -> installed software". Installed Licenses (using ALM to view / export / screenshot it). And of course, the windows version and build # (win10 home ####) and the error # from the forum topic title.

Did a few thing, not sure what done it. but write it down so if anyone else got the same problem get some tips. 1 i did update ALM to sp1. 2 Update tia to 15.4 3 i did not have transfer the license to a HD, i was using the usb for the license. moved over the license to my HD

ALM can see licenses on a USB drive, but it will not (in my experience) use a license on a USB drive. The license needs transferred to a "permanent" drive, not a removable drive. Mr_Prof was this issue solved? if yes how?

Or, are you required to transfer the license to your PG/PC for use and the transfer back to the server after use? Screenshot of your ALM screen showing your license server added to the search tree would be very useful. Refer to my posted screenshot for reference. Mr_Prof My license is on a server - still I'm facing the same issue. What can be done? ALM updated. V19 Tia portal Attachment ALM_2LicenseServers.png (274 Downloads)

That means if the license server is configured to allow license check-out - AND - the local license manager settings for the license server is set to allow searching and stay added to the ALM, you can use that license server - provided a license exists and is not currently in use by someone else.
