Thanks Christoph, I've a new laptop with Windows 10 OEM license. This is a Dell i3 7th gen. CPU. My difficulty is that I simply cannot install Windows 7 on this. Dell no longer provides downgrading to Win7 for this model. So I followed posts here and installed TIA v13.1 Updt. 9 on a VMware virtual machine with Wn7 X64 pro OS. Things are painfully slow. Minimum hard-disk size needed to install TIA & WinCC 13.1 is 65GB. Yes it is possible to use TIA portal to edit projects. But the moment you start PLCSim, the virtual machine simply stops responding. I am encouraged by your experiment. My question to you sir,.. is it ok to install TIA V13.1 on Windows 10 Pro 64bit & will PLC Sim work on Windows 10? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

New question published by mew221b is split to a separate thread with the subject Can't use simulator for new projects. Best regards |
