Hi! Hereyou can find complete guide of migration to TIA. There is a list of requirements and list of non-migratable components. Check it and if you can find a solution, provide more details about errors. Hope it helps. |

Your Step 7 5.5 project has to be consistent beforeit can be migrated. Right click on the blocks folder in SIMATIC Manager and select Check Block Consistency. In the Editor that opens up, select File, Compile all. If there are errors, fix the errors and compile all again until there are no errors. Also there are options in Step 7 like PDiag that aren't yet supported in Portal. Also 300T processors and 400H systems are not supported. Good Luck, Bill |

you must compile ur s7 project using simatic manager to be sure it doesn't contain any warning or errors, then do following 1-Setup your TIA version, open it. 2-on left, you will find Migrate project tab 3-select your s7 project path. 4-you must have licence of Step 7 V5.5 to complete migration.

One more thing, the default loacation for the migrated project is in the Step 7 folder with the V5.5 project. You may want to select the Automation folder which is the default loacation for TIA Portal projects. That way you can find it later. Check the hardware to make sure that nothing is missing and don't forget to compile the PLC after migration. Good Luck, billwest |

Hi I have tried to migrate but the TIA portal doesn't recognise the s7p project file as adviced in this post https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/#document/62100731?lc=en-WW it only recognise the files .am13 and .hmi as shown in the screenshot. Yasmeen |

Hi, do you have installed STEP7 V5.5 or Professional 2010? You need it to migrate, without it doesn´t work. Best would be, if you have it installed on the same PG/PC like TIA Portal is installed to. If it is not on the same PG/PC you can convert it to a TIA compatible migrate-format: |
